Logging company is harassing Pano Arawak over land rights #Indigene #Peru
Tensions are rising in #Ucayali region as a timber company is seeking to overturn official recognition of a local community, prompting the latter to fear for their territorial rights & their safety. Pano Arawak leaders say they are being harassed by the company Nematsa. The company is making criminal accusations of illegal logging against them, & so paralysing the process of indigenous land titling.
