Another escalation in the war on Iran -

U.S. Military struck military targets on Iran’s Kharg Island, which handles ~90% of Iran’s crude exports.

trump also said he had “chosen NOT to wipe out the Oil Infrastructure on the Island.”

Tehran warned it would hit regional oil facilities if its own energy infrastructure was attacked. State media also reported that no oil infrastructure on Kharg Island was damaged.

Oil prices are near $100 a barrel again.

U.S. citizens Iraq have been asked to leave immediately due to "the significant threat posed by Iran-aligned terrorist militias."

Their only option is to travel by land to a neighboring country and find a flight back home.

There are visa requirements. Some take time to obtain. E.g., for Saudi Arabia, "U.S. citizens are strongly encouraged to apply for a eVisa at least 48 hours before travel to avoid delays at the border."

No help from the U.S. govt?
What a poorly planned mess.

@AkaSci “terrorist” is a relative term. These militias exist because they don’t want Americans in their country given what they did to it and what they are now doing to the entire region, illegally I may add

@systemsobscure @AkaSci It's a strange " won war" as per #trump statements. I'd rather go for being screwed up by a reality Republicans in #USA didn't want to recognize: Middle East can't be reshaped under an #Israel model.

After this, US will be just another poor banana republic in America, alone and forgotten for the rest of the world #biggestmistake
