We have been to Cambridge! Where it's difficult to walk along the river because of the colleges... But did discover a lot of purple flowers, which Google Lens says are: Balkan anemones (Anemone blanda), also known as Grecian windflowers. (1)
We had got the park & ride bus to the Fitzwilliam Museum stop, for cafe use, and discovered it had a unique collection of Korean artifacts!! We then explored the rest of the museum while we were there... (2) #Korean

The Fitzwilliam Museum had an incredible entrance. We had entered by way of the modern entrance. There was also some sensational wainscotting.

Upstairs was a lot of art, and I thought I should pay attention to #StillLife as well as all the nature & portraits.

We have now arrived in #SaffronWalden for the night.

Positives about our Premier Inn room #SaffronWalden - good view of ( not spectacular) sunset, and starry sky.

Where we live we are so surrounded by houses we can't fully enjoy these things. It's very open here. Theres a slight possibility of seeing the Cresent moon in the morning, but I'm not sure clear skies are staying...

It's quite a quiet town. As I had thought, it was difficult to find somewhere to eat!!

Morning view from our hotel.

I have quite a lot of time to fill while husband runs his race...

#SaffronWalden has lots of interesting buildings, and I found some crocus. The crocus saffron gave the town its current name. There used to be fields of them - not any more! Fields of new houses... I couldn't photograph the historic market place as it was full of cars and people. Car parking is limited, so we are out of town at Costa for coffee/ lunch and will return home soon.

Just one of many photos I took.

I sat here in the spring sunshine reflecting on Mothering Sunday.

Filter on colour photo -- I'm currently researching local Victorian waterworks, so it was good to spot this 1915 water tower in #SaffronWalden #water #SilentSunday
