@NickEast_IndieWriter @reading @bookstodon @humor @[email protected] @aiop be careful about doing things out of spite. My uncle was told he shouldn't go to uni, so he got a scholarship out of spite and ended up in charge of a government department and being awarded an OAM

@dwillanski I think the lesson there isn't the danger of spite 🤔
It's the danger of doing things, doing things leads to doing more things which leads even more things and so on until you finally die and can have a bit of a rest 😜😁

@NickEast_IndieWriter @reading @bookstodon @humor @[email protected] @aiop I was teaching 16-year olds at the time and a lot of them were into Twilight. My impression of the online discourse was it wasn't good, but I wanted to know for sure ... Easy read, but yeah, not great.
