โ€œMeshtastic and ActivityPub integration for seamless off-grid messagingโ€ - interested to know what this means exactly! ๐Ÿ‘€

โ€ฆ like many of you, Iโ€™m curious about this (and the sentence I quoted is directly from the linked page). The only solution is for the #Beagleboard folks to send me a badge so I can fully research it ๐Ÿ˜‰
โ€ฆ does anyone have any contacts at #Beagleboard? ๐Ÿ˜‰
@andypiper omg ๐Ÿ˜
@andypiper haha. I opened the toot telling myself "i have to poke @_elena on this one" but you are too fast ๐Ÿ˜œ
@andypiper ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€
@andypiper Itโ€™s a compelling idea but I vaguely understand meshtastic to be pretty unsuited to that use case, because it congests itself without really spreading messages (limited hop count) in locally dense areas - I might be very wrong though!
@[email protected] @[email protected] You could use riticulum or sideband instead of meshtastic with Lora.
@andypiper yes I wonder how that would work. This thing looks cool though.
@andypiper ActivityPub *over* Meshtastic? I'm intrigued to see how this could possibly work without them somehow running the TCP/IP stack over Meshtastic and inventing adapted versions of DNS and TLS.
@andypiper AP is so chatty I have no idea how this would work.
