#UnitedStates had done "scenario analysis" and has known and planned "for months, for weeks" [his words, not mine] that we will NOT be able to win this war with #Iran WITHOUT an international coalition.

National Security Council underestimated Iran's willingness to close the Strait of Hormuz? That assumes first off that there was an estimate at all. The NSC had its staff cut from 350 to 150. The National Security Advisor has no time for the NSC. He's also Secretary of State and the Archivist. An estimate requires a red team review. I bet none was conducted.

Of course I don't believe any words coming out the mouths of the #Trump Administration, but oftentimes, it is their body language and tone of delivery that gives the game away.

Look in the thread for the body language of #Bessent when he makes a circular motion to explain the $20B #DFC "circular" #insurance program as a #Ponzi scheme to profit from when #Lloyds declares #ForceMajeure and refuses to pay for ships and cargo lost in the #StraitOfHormuz.
