ok #slackwareaarch64 #slackaroni users can now do a 'slackpkg install obs' to get your hands on the latest OBS-Studio packages.

.... or 'slpkg install obs-studio' pick your poison, I've made it easy for either package manager to get ahold of OBS. ;)

OBS Note: you MUST be using pipewire to screen record, it will not operate unless pipewire is in use. And the setup wizard complains about the encoder.

OBS doesn't ship any arm64 builds, nor flatpak, so it's still not 100% on the platform, but in my use cases... it's worked fine. That said, they don't officially support arm64 yet.

@jloc0 Do they know there's an audience for it?

@mason yes, I believe so. It seems there may be some edge cases around it yet but they have native Mac releases and such so the work for the platform has been done already.

I don’t know the details as to why they don’t offer an arm64 flatpak but I’m pretty sure Debian has it packaged as well, seems they are just letting it bake for a while or may not have CI in place for arm64 Linux yet.
