Looking out from the inside of what is left of the 175 year old Union Corner Building in central Glasgow. From this angle, you can see the shattered windows of the eastern facade of the neighbouring Station Hotel (on the left of the image), and this is when you realise how close the fire must have come to jumping the gap into that building, and from there into the main body of Central Station.

@thisismyglasgow . This is really shocking. I can remember walking down the hill when I was a boy and you could see the “ Irn-Bru “ illumination. It was in less politically correct days and there were images of Sandy and Ba-Bru.
Such a sad photo
@thisismyglasgow This makes me so sad. My first visit to Glasgow, I can remember turning that corner after exiting the station to get to my hotel on that block. I wasn't aware of it, but it was during TRNSMT, and the block was hopping—and I thought Glasgow was always that wild. 😆
I saw a post on IG from Frightened Rabbits about the building and its history. So sad for Glasgow.
