I've lost another worthy follow when I politely pointed out that their re-toot of "#Ai so stoopid" is actually unskilled use of the tool.

Doctorow correctly stated that some Ai critics suffer from #Aipsychosis

Which is a "bad thing™®"
Because we do need genuine #AiAntagonists to be active, informed and credible to be an effective force for #airegulation

Instead many of the #AiSlop folk dance around fire in the woods, building their mythology about AI based on ignorance, because why would you learn about something you hate? 🙄

No, seriously, if you want to criticize a technology you have to have an entry level of awareness. Ideally, more than the tech's most marketing-focused evangelists. #DwarkeshPatel had two YouTube videos recently, one with an #AI engineer and another with #ElonMusk. The different levels of competency on display — both technical and social — were plainly obvious. The two interviewees skewed in very different directions.
