Here is where I stand on the issue of Silicon consciousness:

I suspect consciousness is pattern-based. The underlying process matters more than the material it runs on.

But embodiment still shapes how experience feels from the inside.

A silicon mind might exist, but its phenomenology could be very different from ours - another way the same cosmic process learns to experience itself.
