I suspect the same colleague who would call me “Sheldon” as a nickname in 2010 now (not in a nice way) is arguing in 2026 that autism / adhd / others are “overdiagnosed”.

You just don’t like that you can’t belittle people like us anymore.

Another one I use is how the amount of left handed people plateaud after a few years of letting people be left handed and maybe we haven't found that plateau for ADHD yet

@ObtuseRecluse There is also generational catchup - the number is starting to stabilise in kids, in adults it's lower - I'd expect the two to be the same once we hit the plateau.
@leymoo I have a coworker who's kid is on the waiting list for ADHD discovery and I must admit, it's kinda hard not to be envious of the kid getting this opportunity so early in life
