Had a blast protesting outside the local MP's office this morning. A few more ppl turned up, including a friend with a fabulous banner. Then we went off for coffee and a debrief.

Plus what turned out to be retail therapy for me (at a nearby arty-crafty up-cycling shop which is closing for really sad reasons - owner's health failing).
Definitely needed a huge coffee to fuel all of the morning's activities. Just coming down from the caffeine now. Not sure whether to try for a nap after not sleeping so well at nightvor try to get some life admin done.
In other news, just heard the Ukestra's gig at the Fringe Festival is sold out. So yay!
Still quietly terrified about performing. Had a really tiring day (and night) which isn't helping.

Also took my uke with me to the protest singing group but then felt like i played really badly. Brain and fingers not cooperating. Then everything turns to mush.

A fellow activist who wasn't involved with the singing but used to be in the same ukestra as me was just so kind.

He came over after the session finished and asked if he could play my uke. Very good player! And he praised the uke's tone and design too. Asked what we were playing at the gig. Such a sweet thing to do.

@John @psychopoesie I found this doco so inspirational. Then, while I was on a cruise, John bought one for me… then another and then the guitarlele. My brain freaks at 2 Etta strings!
@John oh wow! So going to watch that! 😍 thanks!
