How big is the lens that you used for this photo?

@mdholcomb 500mm but when shooting APS-C it has the equivalent reach of an 800mm lens. It’s quite large but I can hike all over with it strapped to a chest harness. Still, I was quite close and the hawk was focused on hunting. The snag he perched on was only about 3 meters high (10 feet.)
