Feeding time on the farm can be interesting. There are horses that think dinner is 3 hours late. There are horses that think all the food is theirs. And there are horses that want scratches with their dinner. It can be a truly dangerous time for humans.

Ariel has a habit of yelling for dinner just after lunch. She is the boss mare on the farm and doesn't like it when I tell her off. Nevada used to be the boss gelding but is now calming down in his old age.

The Baba Yaga and Tiny Pants are very fractious at feeding time. So it was good to see Vega saying hi before trying to beat Tiny to the incoming food.

It takes an hour or two to feed the herd and it leaves me singing things like...
And as we feed on down the herd
There waits a beer that we all know
That's cold and clear like we deserve
And if you work very hard
The beer will come to you at last
When work is done and all are fed
To be relaxed and very calm
With hors deurves and camembert
