Now this is how you do a protected bike lane/sidewalk combination. No rubber bumpers or plastic posts for "protection" like we usually see in the US. Here we have nice ground pavers for both bikes and pedestrians, a decorative railing separating the bike lane from cars, and a beautiful landscaped divider between the bike lane and sidewalk featuring trees and bushes contained within a cut-stone base.
