@rbreich I’m guessing it’s an attempt for Trump to distract voters from multiple failures on the home front, and induce a rally around the flag effect. But it’s failing to do that, quite obviously. Trump will do whatever he can to stay in power, his instincts are all autocratic.

@rbreich let me take a guess: Putin's war chest, #DefenseIndustry, and the American #OilAndGasIndustry? With a side effect of taking focus off the #epsteinfiles, helping out a fellow fascist to stay in power, and weakening European democracies... So yes spending $1B per day for as long as it takes is well worth it. On top they can then again point at the huge deficit to justify stopping more woke programs as there's no money for school lunches, national parks, science, USAID, or education. It all makes sense and there won't be any real consequences as the #UnAmericanVoters still keep voting for #Republican sycophants to #MAGA ...
