On the first Day we kicked off the workshop with a deep dive into the foundations of the GESIS Panel.dbd infrastructure. Participants learned about the panel’s recruitment and structure, how web tracking data are collected, and how digital traces (URLs, timestamps, HTML) are generated and stored. In the afternoon, two hands‑on sessions introduced the structure of both survey and web tracking data, giving participants the chance to explore the research possibilities these data offer.
