It is time again to wonder whether the HDI Container will lose all its data just because I added two fields, or will it alter its table without issues when I deploy the changes?

It will probably do both and some unnamed other third thing.

Only to either magically work flawlessly when you try to debug it or to catastrophically fail.

There is no in between.
