I'm facilitating a discussion at my local #UEF (Union of European Federalists) chapter and would love your input to prepare. The goal: to define - for ourselves and others - who we are and what we stand for.

Which #EuropeanValues are worth defending and strengthening in today's crumbling world order? Which of them clearly require closer European cooperation, or even a #federal #Europe?

I know there are plenty of mission statements out there, but they often feel too generic. Many values the UEF embraces could just as well be championed by a loose confederation of nation-states.

I'm specifically interested in values that genuinely justify building a close, federal Europe. What makes federalism not just desirable, but necessary?
