"You might recognise him from Mystery Men"
"You're optimistic... I tried watching it once and... Nope"

Eugh. Straight men. Can we vote for them all to die?

#DeepRising

Yes mysterious sea creature, attack the rich people boat. Attack!

#DeepRising

Seriously, I'm not sure I want any of these characters to be the hero... Except maybe the thief...

#DeepRising

An hour in and we finally get some, frankly disappointing, tentacle porn...

@penwing it's interesting for me watching this especially after seeing Lost In Space that came out in the exact same year recently.
That film also decided to use CGI for the creatures but this has the edge I'd say.
Admittedly there is a particularly bad example later, but I feel there's so much more going on with the design of the tentacles - and the work on the "remains" props and the facial animation we've seen impressed me.

It definitely gives me "The Mummy" (1999) vibes, partially thanks to Kevin J. O'Connor, but the general tone and humour, plus bombastic action.

@penwing ha - no wonder - same writer/director, though The Mummy had additional writers.
