hey everyone! i'm Seán, an interrelational artist currently living in the Salish Sea region ~ east of míqәn, beside maple & pine, near singing robins and Merlin's barrow.

i previously lived at sx̣ʷət̕č̕əlíéw̕txʷ with my partner Kate (~wingy), where we both also joined the Scuttleverse and met many lovely, inspiring butts, such as @glyph, @cblgh, & i'm sure others who've landed here @,,

i try to find creative ways of weaving together art, death, ecology, technology, and autonomy through various community projects & events. i also have an introspective art practice that ebbs and flows.

mostly, i make a lot of mistakes and do my best to learn from them.

feeling very honoured and happy to join merveilles.town. i've never given the fediverse a proper go, and haven't socially networked online much since wandering away from ssb several years ago (and shedding my old shell). i do spend time at special.fish though!

looking forward to meeting other townsfolk here and getting to know this region of the web better :^)

if i disappear for a while, i'm likely just resting and reorienting in my spider sanctuary 🕷️

@leaflitter Welcome, Seán!

How was your Scuttlebutt experience? Are there many folks using it? How come you left and what brought you to the fediverse?

Anyway, make yourself at home. It's good to have you here.

@iooioio thank you!

my time using Scuttlebutt was honestly really profound. i joined during the lockdown era which, despite its challenges, really opened up space for a particularly unique, deep experience. people were so welcoming there, and i really appreciated the amount of creativity & depth of the conversations. it also really felt like you could participate without being a programmer, which was huge to me.

when the pandemic started to subside, many people using ssb drifted away, including myself. i continued to check in from time to time, but eventually my computer died, and i got caught up in lots of other offline things. i still think very fondly of the scuttleverse though, and am happy to see that people are still hanging out there.

i had been previously curious about the fediverse as well, but never gave it a proper chance until 100R invited me to join. feels like the right time to explore these spaces :^)
