The chef ๐Ÿฅ— First illustration of a sci-fi series, for which I've had sketches lying around for so long.
How does the painting feel to you? Would you like to see more of this overgrown world?

@JohannaForster very calming, even the robot feels slightly organic, it's neat!

@JohannaForster Definitely! ๐Ÿคฉ

Right now I am reading Automatic Noodle by @annaleen and reminded me of that ๐Ÿ˜Š

@txo_elurmaluta @JohannaForster @annaleen came here to comment about the automatic noodle vibes
@ferrix @txo_elurmaluta @annaleen haha guess i have been missing out! ๐Ÿ˜†
@JohannaForster wasn't feeling super good today, but felt better and smiled when looking at the pretty colors. I'd say it feels good!
@bd aww :) thatโ€™s great, thank you!
@JohannaForster
I feel like you've taken a Moebius sort of look and updated it. It's gorgeous and warm.
@ohmu that comic book style is definetely an inspiration of mine :)
@JohannaForster ๐ŸŒฟ the possible food safety infractions bother me ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿด๐Ÿฅ˜
@schwinghamer understandable! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒฑ
@JohannaForster Wow, I'm hungry, despite the sceneryโ€ฆ
@JohannaForster Itโ€™s lovely, there is so much story in this one frame. And the colors are so transfixing! If I picked up a book in a bookstore with this on the cover, Iโ€™d probably walk it up to the cash register without even glancing inside.
@JohannaForster @joachim
Oh! Soooo cool!
Moooore please!
๐Ÿคฉ
This is great! More please!
@JohannaForster That's lovely! It makes me think a bit of the video game Stray where you play as a cat running through a city with no people left just the robots they left behind ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stray_(video_game) ) โ€“ the aesthetic is totally different, but it gives me the same sort of almost gentle post-the-end-of-the-world vibes

@JohannaForster oh my. i have a little project of my own for which i have zero (0, no) budget, but if it *had* a budget, it would go on art from you in this style (assuming you do commission work, which, i don't know, but i have zero budget, so).

that gentle mix of SF and nature hits me squarely in the feels.

@JohannaForster

This one image has a lot of story.

@JohannaForster my answer is I love it, yes, Iove it!
@JohannaForster the colours are fantastic!
@JohannaForster love the painting but that mess in the kitchen triggers my ocd, even more since I'm a chef too ๐Ÿ˜‚
@JohannaForster The detail level of this scene is really amazing! I love how cute the little robot is as well. ๐Ÿ˜

@JohannaForster I *love* this peek into your overgrown world.๐Ÿ‘€โœจ

I would be DELIGHTED to see even more from it!!๐Ÿคฉ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿค–

@JohannaForster gosh it's so cute! I love it. It made me feel warm and welcome and cozy first, then I took a closer look at the environment and wondered how it apparently was forgotten / left alone for a long time, but then this seemingly friendly and warm interaction felt even better since it might be the only one available.
@JohannaForster it literally reminded me of @annaleenโ€™s Automatic Noodle.
@JohannaForster this is delightful! I feel warmth, connection, and serenity from it. I always love a mixture of tech and nature

@JohannaForster First of all, this is gorgeous!

It feels hopeful and adventurous. The scene seems to be an adventurer at their last stop before delving into the ruins ahead. But they're not sad about the past. They're excited for the discoveries they might bring back.

Those are pretty textures, by the way! Is it all digitally drawn? Curious how you got those paper and paint textures!

@Nephrite thank you โ˜บ๏ธ great observations! A lot of that was going through my mind while painting!
Yes all digitally! I use a paper texture on top most of the time to make it look more traditional :)
@JohannaForster Awesome. :) I have to go check out if I can do something similar in Krita.
@Nephrite totally :) you can play around with filter settings like overlay and multiply for textures in any software
