This is what all big companies should be doing.

@georgetakei

Good. Chain him to a Dolly, roll him past the samples trays, beyond his reach, and when he really wants some, he'll get to paying.

@georgetakei Just another reason why I shop there.

@georgetakei Trump could just send every citizen a cheque. #Australia did this during the global financial crisis. (Amazing how money can be found when it's needed.) Everyone got $1000 and went out and spent it, saving the economy from collapse.

#uspol

@anne_twain @georgetakei They did that here during COVID, multiple times. It caused inflation.

The money they "find" comes out of your pocket, either by taxation or inflation. Now if you have a negative net worth, inflation might actually benefit you.

@mike805 @anne_twain Was it stagflation, or you know, just normal growth-based inflation?
@georgetakei Costco has always been awesome!

@nomdeb @georgetakei Except when it comes to abortion rights: https://www.ms.now/opinion/msnbc-opinion/costco-doesnt-stock-abortion-pills-rcna225423

Unfortunately, they're just less garbage than many other brands. If they reverse this, even in states that protect abortion, they'd be actually not garbage.

That's the sad thing. You'd think we'd see more companies have at least some morals. Over 90% don't.

Costco won’t be selling abortion pills. Here’s why that matters.

Conservative groups who lobbied against the sale of the medication are pledging to target retailers that already dispense the drug, which would be a blow to abortion access.

@georgetakei one of many reasons why co-ops are based.
@georgetakei "so they can refund their customers" LOL 😂 😂
@georgetakei Nintendo of America is doing the same - and their legal department is brutal, so expect something to be done
@georgetakei I bought a shed last year from Costco and they automatically refunded me $50 because they were able to negotiate a better price. Costco is that good
@georgetakei Technically not ALL the tariffs, just the illegal ones.
@George Takei :verified: 🏳️‍🌈🖖🏽 the second part of this sentence is of course a joke! ...
Costco becomes biggest company demanding refunds on Trump tariffs

Costco is joining other companies that aren’t waiting to see whether the Supreme Court strikes down President Donald Trump’s most sweeping import taxes.

@georgetakei I hope that the price of my coffee at Costco goes down.
@georgetakei I doubt they will refund customers
@georgetakei What are the odds that end customers will ever see that money?
