it is actually wild that we live in a society where literal criminals are walking around free, but i have to hand over my Gov issued id and age verification docs just to download an os or use social media. it feels like common sense just doesn't exist anymore. please, some org or lawyers drag these thugs to court and stretch things out. i am tired of this bullshit.
@nixCraft It's pretty close to revolution O clock.
@minentromaxinfo
It's past, actually. Way past.
@nixCraft
@nixCraft Thanks goodness for the fediverse and Linux. I just need to find ways to escape Android now. I'm not showing my ID to any AI.
@nixCraft I feel the same but I just started accepting justice is fucking gone, none wants to do anything, none wants to protests, none wants actual justice, none cares that billionaires get away with everything apparently, idk why none cares tho cause money rules this world? Was justice ever normal in this world? Idk anymore man i dont understand this world anymore neither like aaa
@tunneltoast if you grew up reading comic books like me, i think you and i know the answer and it is not pretty.
@nixCraft It's ironic that the criminals get to make the laws

@nixCraft
Unfortunately, the global system aims to control almost everything in life, including individuals, who will be mere numbers in the system

Almost everything is monitored, so secrecy and privacy will be the goal of free people who just want privacy, which has become just terms and conditions that you have to agree to in order to open an account for almost anything

@nixCraft Class action lawsuit: The people vs Donald Trump.

@nixCraft

We need a new democracy.

Follow my byline if interested.

@nixCraft Because the criminals need to know who criticized them and who called them out on the internet just so they know who to target and stop. That's the only way they can keep their control in this age.

@nixCraft

Some states now require proof of U.S. citizenship to vote. Just wait until you need to provide that just to buy groceries.
#USpol

@nixCraft Well we mainly just need to stop voting for the lawmakers that make these laws.

We actively reelect them. We should probably stop doing that.

@nixCraft
They're above the law.
@nixCraft
I can remember back around 1982 -- the state of Massachusetts, the only one liberal enough to have voted for McGovern, had a bill working its way through their legislature that would make it illegal to program a computer without a license. Oddly enough that was also about the time when the IBM PC came out, and the flow of news about said bill was stanched by such things. I never learned how the bill died. The opponents of egalitarian access to technology have, I suppose, waited until now for an expeditious change in the tide of affairs, and now is when they have been waiting for. Look out.
