This #InternationalWomensDay, the theme is “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”

Today we are sharing “Breaking Silence,” a powerful poem by Alice Doyle, written during our October workshop Disabled Women & Poverty: The Cost of Exclusion.

We share it again today as a reminder that we can only make real progress when disabled women’s experiences are recognised, heard, and included in the conversations shaping change.

Alice’s poem captures the strength of speaking out and the importance of disabled women’s voices being heard.
