We finally rewired our home network. Ethernet now reaches all the way to the home office. Non-scientific measurement comparison in screenshot below
I mean wifi is great technology and good work on those inventing all these mindblowing modulations and encodings and all that smart stuff. But cables? Omg cables are fantastic.

@freddy I tried to re-cable as well, but couldn't drill a hole through the wall. Kept hitting iron rods (load bearing wall). So I reused the coaxial cable already there with a MoCA 2.5 adaptor. I get roughly 2 Gbps. TV still works as well.

I love wired networks as well.

@gabriel yeah, was seriously considering coaxial, though that seems hard to buy in EU or just expensive? But I found a nice labyrinthine pathway for proper Ethernet cabling that works much better :)
@freddy Ohh, If I had the choice, I would have went with UTP everywhere as well. I went with GoCoax which was at the time around 80€/unit and I needed 3 (just needed to pass a couple of walls, the rest was UTP). So while not cheap, it was not a fortune either.
