Dear White #anthropologists: y'all gotta start citing more Black people and especially Black women in your work. We (black women anthropologists) are disproportionately undercited (Smith 2021). Also, a lot of y'all are kinda bad about half-reading us (I have had several white male anthropologists *egregiously* misquote bell hooks and Audre Lorde to me, hoping for a pat on the back, I suppose). Read, and cite, BW deeply and faithfully.
