What the fuck ?
I'm in a hotel right now and I was menstruating last night. Some blood sipped of my slipper and flew on the bedding of my hotel bed. So far, just normal.
Thanks to the room service staff, my bed sheet was changed.
Additionally, a letter showed up in my room with a picture of the blood spot of the bed sheet informing me that I "contaminated" the room along with a fine of 10 EUR.
Has anyone of you encountered such a sexist fine before ?
Since today it's Feminist Action Day, I found it a good date to complain at the hotel. Sadly didn't even need to escalate this to the manager because the receptionist fully agreed that they can't charge me for being a woman.
Still, I will complain by email to the management about this case - even if they eventually don't fine me it is shocking how they considered that.

What the actual fuck ?!? Today, I received one more letter from the hotel informing me that they'd still charge me for the menstrual blood on the bedding - a few days after I already complained to them and they promised to dismiss the fine.
I went to the reception again, sadly the manager is not on site today and tomorrow before I leave. This push back in next level disgusting.
I will loudly complain about this to the hotel chain and the booking portal.
