I love what’s achievable with Free Software.

I can sync reading progress across my e-reader with #koreader, my phone with #readest and I’ve now hacked together a way of syncing them with #emacs Nov mode. The code needs cleaning up a bit and I’ll put it on Codeberg soon.

@jiewawa Nice. I have an old function in my Emacs config somewhere that transfers notes from koreader on my e-reader via ssh and transforms it into an org file. Maybe I can enhance that similarly.
@srijan @jiewawa Would having at least one person on Mastodon thank you publicly motivate either of you in those endeavors? Because I can guarantee you both at least one public acknowledgement. With an #Emacs tag!

@srijan @jiewawa Holy crap! This looks like it can be super useful! This could transform my #PineNote from something that just allows casual passive reading for fun to a device for producing real knowledge in my #Denote database.
