So I agreed a while ago to go to a community quiz night in a church hall as a favour to a mate. The day has arrived. Trish has predictably pulled out so I'm flying solo. Also in attendance this evening will be at least one sitting MP and at least one Knight of the realm. It's BYOB so I'm taking a bottle of red, some camping cups, and have just made up a big soda stream bottle filled with g&t. I am determined to have a good time and have messaged the organiser to let them know I'm breezy and I sort of know some of the people but they are welcome to stick me in any team that needs someone. I am a positive Peter. I've dressed up a bit and objectively look devastating. My game plan is to try and not talk too much and just look pretty and only answer questions when I am 100% certain so I look like a handsome genius and not a sad little lost boy weirdo. Which I am not! I am a MAN! I am a confident young man! In the prime of my life! I've got everything going for me! The world is my oyster. You're a tiger, Ben! A lion! Now get out there and show everyone you have some value! Huzzah! 🕺
