I was transitioning most of my social media back to desktop input but that and a good old blanket backup were jumped up the schedule

when I'm texting a contact the other day
and the lyrics audio in the room starts transcribing across my screen in charcoal letters.

I'm glad I grabbed a screenshot before airplane mode and shutdown.

A little critical diving suggests this is very very likely a Manufacture/Carrier settings update.

1/some

I underestimated the power of pulling out the SIM card for a factory reset -- I think that, maybe combo'd with the most basic devtools and incomplete bootloader unlock -- let me as end user keep a lot of admin level permissions that let me kill malware processes and third party slave scripts. I just want to impress upon lower level android augmenters how simple things can help profoundly.

All that said, I may not be the only one going back to dumber phones sooner than later.

Yesterday I discovered that I'm doing with one more different model number than expected, and that unlocking a snapdragon as far as you can does help. This REALLY can't be my main thing right now.
