...think about burning bugs on the sidewalk with a magnifying glass...

Now ramp that up about a zillion-fold & give that weapon to a maniac.....

You could cook ground based weapons systems on their launch systems, aim it at the pentagon, or a military site...

Sure... sounds terrific.
