i wrote this up, my interpretation of morrowind's plot, with an emphasis on how gay it could have been
obviously spoilers... and i'm aware that there are a bunch of different ways of interpreting the events based on who you ask in-universe and their motivations. i also took some creative liberties here
definitely check out morrowind if you haven't played it - it's a fantastic game with really fun lore
i was so bummed after i killed dagoth ur that i brought him back in mod form! let's give such a nuanced villain a good ending for once
@lily and i wrote the script and i put together the mod in the construction set
i couldn't get the construction set going in wine so i booted up my windows xp machine, it's always fun to have a reason to use it :-)

anyway dagoth ur and i just signed up to the fighters guild and have to get rid of some rats
this is like taking a 100 level class at the end of your program in university
little known fact about dagoth ur is that he's a big softy when it comes to animals
i love some of the new creatures the "repopulated creatures" mod has you running into across vvardenfell

nackmack@eri @lily it's been a good fifteen years since I was in construction set but the first place I would look is for what scripts should be attached to voryn for combat, if the game is supposed to be using a certain rigging and mesh for combat it might be invoked with those scripts. Could absolutely be something else, but there's where I would start.
@circuitsunfish @lily i fixed it, i accidentally had him set to "biped" instead of "walks" - i think biped is only for khajiit and argonian as it references a tail in the animations
@eri I know Morrowind's meant to be ambiguous, but I love this canon. It really highlights the bromance between Voryn and Nerevar, the misguided selfishness of the Tribunal, and just how disgusting their betrayal was. I feel for Dagoth Ur, especially when you talk to Vivec after and he muses on his own mortality and how sad the whole situation is
@aires i'm torn on whether i want to kill vivec after the main quest just for the justice of it... if voryn dies vivec for sure doesn't deserve to live, even if he does lose his divinity when the heart is destroyed
the whole thing is deeply tragic
