The #ADF can hardly claim "international waters" (a #UNCLOS definition) in the South China Sea at the _very same_ time it encourages US / Israel aggression in the middle east (clearly breaching the UN Charter).

#Australia, we either rely on international law, or you undermine it. There's no middle path.

If international law is buggered, then we're fucked.

ADF helicopter forced to take evasive action during interaction with Chinese aircraft

The Australian Defence Force says a Seahawk helicopter launched from the Australian frigate HMAS Toowoomba was confronted by a Chinese helicopter and was forced to "take evasion to maintain a safe flight".

What Rule of Law? Sadly. UNCLOS, bugger that the PRC says. UNConvention? What’s that says Israel, US and Iran, etc…

We only have working rules when it suits everybody, and that’s never been the case. US Hegemony made the rules work because it was the biggest bully in town, now it’s not so clear cut. SO out with the rules it’s everyperson from themselves. WHy should AUstralia be any diff?

What a fucked up world we live in. What a dangerous place we leave to our kids… I’m beyond hoping for more peaceful times… I can only work on my inner peace to keep me sane, and that peace no one can take away from me.

Anthony Albanese etc are doing the same "two standards" with Israel's crimes against humanity in Palestine - international law requires them to confront those crimes.

But they don't do that.

Instead they invite Israel's President Herzog here, supposedly to support the Jewish community, and then give him a meeting with the head of ASIO.
