Honestly, the more I learn about the Italian language, the more I learn about Italy. The more I learn about Italy, the more obsessed I am.
Italy is honestly underrated AF. It's where the freaking ocarina comes from. You know, the instrument featured in OCARINA OF TIME, the most influential video game in history????
I also completely forgot to mention that ocarine are also used in the Wizard of Oz (You know...the first featured film to use color.). It's not featured, but they notably show up in the tune of If I Only Had a Brain

Opera comes from Italy as well. Which is the ancestor of broadway-style musicals. Broadway literally would not exist without Italian musical theater.
