I sincerely wish I had more money to spend on #firearms and ammunition, and fewer laws to get in the way of that.

I am a firm believer in the unalienable fundamental human right to keep and bear arms for the ordinary purposes of self-defense, and I do not believe any government has the legitimate authority to restrict me from doing so, absent extraordinary circumstances regarding public safety, public order, and public health.

No weapons at the polls or in court, OK.

But, what about on my way to and from the election polling place or the courtroom? I'm willing to acknolwedge that weapons should not be permitted in some places, but I also think the government has a legal responsibility to provide for the deposit and safeguarding of weapons on-site to minimize my vulnerability.

And in fact, many court and other government buildings used to provide this.

Nothing should be more clear to Americans and people around the world right now than that governments—especially not the current American government—cannot be entirely trusted not to violate the rights of their own people and the people of other nations.

Democrats, this is on you. 57 years of pushing for ever more draconian authoritarian "gun control" has brought us to where we are right now.

The regime does not fear you, because it knows you are disarmed by your own choices.

Anyway, this is just me whinging because I want a Glock 19 and can't afford one.

Why a Glock 19? Because it is the single most popular pistol ever. There are oodles of spare parts and third-party accessories for it, and it's rock solid reliable.

If you can own only one firearm, the Glock 19 covers more bases than any other, and I've come around to the idea that the 9x19 mm calibre is sufficient for self-defense, while simultaneously being the most popular, and therefore cheapest.

I do not live in a place where I commonly have a need for a firearm, or even the opportunity to regularly shoot, since I live in an urbanized area without a car and there are no shooting ranges I am aware of within walking or bicycle distance of my home.

I also don't have any real interest in hunting, although I do acknowledge it's a good skill to learn, and I do like to eat wild game.
