#MARCHintosh

@billgoats @clay well that’s cool! I normally don’t like Mondays too much but today I’ll make an exception!

Thanks Dan!

@colinburgess It made it! Excellent :D

@billgoats you might be interested to know that Google Maps has zero clue where you live, whereas Apple Maps found it no worries.

It also informed me that there are no directions for me to ever drive there.

@colinburgess Sounds about right ;)
@billgoats This pencil gets a lot of beauty shots.
@Eggfreckles Different pencil, innit
@billgoats how do I know the pencil is safe? I'm going to need to see a picture of the pencil with today's newspaper.
@Eggfreckles As if we have a daily newspaper 💁
@billgoats nothing an ImageWriter can't fix.
@Eggfreckles Print something to mine and I'll that with the pencil :D

@billgoats ADB

A small, but loud connector, from what I remember. 🤔

@billgoats ADB
it’s as easy as 1-4-2
@billgoats ADB (Automatisk Data Behandling)
@billgoats ADB
On a related note, I wrote my own ADB host firmware years ago for an ADB -> USB adapter because all the open-source adapter projects at the time only supported keyboards. I wanted to use an ADB trackball (Kensington Turbo Mouse). However, the ADB standard only supports 2 button mice without driver extensions, and I was never able to figure out what special command the Kensington driver sent to the trackball to get it to send button presses for buttons 3 and 4. I eventually gave up and took a much less rare serial version and just wired up the buttons and optical encoders to the microcontroller to have it act as a USB mouse.
