I was fortunate enough to see Fred Frith & Hans Reichel play "True Love" live on a tour in which they played multiple instruments, including hand-made electric guitars, some of which were barely more than a few strings stretched across a guitar pickup attached to a two-by-four and played with drum-sticks, metal chains, bows, and other hardware. Quite a trip.
