The Pine Grosbeak (pinicola enucleator) flock (5-6 pairs) are still here. They have been here since December 20, 2025. I know they will continue to be here for a few more weeks before migrating back to the north.
There has been a lone female Redpoll (Acanthis flammea) under the feeders for the last few days.
I heard my first Northern Saw-whet Owl (Aegolius acadicus) of the season calling in the woods to the south of me.
The temperatures for the last two days were in the mid-40's (F), today the temperature is more seasonal, in the low 30's (F).
