New Eurorack module purchased!

Sometimes you come across something that makes you think, “Why didn’t anyone think of this before?”

The "Fresh" module from french maker @kaona is exactly that: a tiny fan designed to cool down your Eurorack case - all packed into a super compact 2hp module!

@updownleftright @kaona I can recommend the NSA selector. yet another one of a kind eurorack module.

oh, and it makes noise, too =)

@updownleftright @kaona I feel like there was a missed opportunity here for a CV input to control the fan speed...

CV in, and mount it next to your spring reverb tank!
@updownleftright @kaona Not familiar with "Eurorack", but I was packing vertical inches with 1U high fan trays, venting all over the place, for modules to go to the Arabian desert, with a 55°C boiling point for the important bits (0.1g per column).

No piezo or magnetic pickup to use it as an oscillator?
@JoshuaACNewman And no CV input :D
@c3manu Right? I should be able to scale fan speed by Pythagorean ratios!

@JoshuaACNewman @c3manu

@swetland also suggested the CV input. Your ideas could be great if @kaona turns this into a larger module!

Personally, though, if we stick to the module’s main function, I feel it’s maybe missing a thermometer to show the current temperature inside the case.

Hi, thanks for your interest in Fresh!
It wasn't possible to fit a CV input into 2HP... but it's a very good idea to also add a thermometer in a larger module. I don't know if I can do that for a reasonable price, but I'll think about it!

…which should be expressed as a voltage level.
