@fname @MugsysRapSheet assuming they are not total idiots (doubtful), I think the objective is to take #iran #oil out of market, more than to "steal" it (i.e. as what happened in the 1990s #Iraq "food for oil" program ). #USA producers "suffered" of low oil prices for so long ! would someone please think of the poor shareholders and warmongers please 🙄

I remember in 2000, long-haul truckers went on strike b/c the cost of diesel rose 20cents/gal to $1.89.

Candidate #Dubya said that if he were elected, he'd tell OPEC to "open the spigots".

Then he invaded #Iraq, the price oil went from $28 to $149, and never got close to under $30 again.

Gas prices tripled and the economy crashed b/c no one could afford their "interest only loans" any longer.

...and that's EXACTLY where I see us going again.
