Listening to CBC Montreal morning radio as we do each morning. Just hearing from an interesting food writer (Bernard Lavallee) who wrote a book on Quebec #tomatoes.
He shared interesting stories about several varieties. I found seeds for this one (Montreal Tasty) which I want to order and try in our garden. Sounds hardy & flavourful.
Tomato seeds ordered. I guess it is that time of year (finally). Added a few other packets to get some stuff started for the garden.
This seed vendor is Montreal based and has a very good selection.
I'm a fan of Marmande tomatos; I see they sell those.
I think they are the very best for a Greek salad!
Nice surprise this morning! The saved Marmande seeds germinated in under a week. I wonder if we will move house before the tomatoes are ready?
