salix sericea (@Ripple13216)Moved over 2 cubic yards of wood, soil, and compost to finish the overhaul of the raised beds after five years of use.
The new setup uses "huegelkultiur" (mound) style layering. A foot and a half of wood, then leaves & plain dirt, then compost & nice garden soil. The beds top out at a comfy 2+ feet.
It's a great way to recycle wood from tree trimming and cutting bushes etc.
Will wrap up the day with a couple of the last oranges fresh off the tree.
