"#Nuclear reactors don’t emit planet-warming greenhouse gases, unlike coal and gas plants, and they can produce electricity around the clock, unlike wind turbines and solar panels."

"#TerraPower’s reactor uses liquid sodium instead of water, allowing it to operate at lower pressures. In theory, that reduces the need for costly shielding. In an emergency, the plant can be cooled with air vents rather than complicated pump systems. "

Ugh. Yes, and yes, but…

Liquid sodium, lead, high temperature gas, heat pipes, and small to micro size are just some of the innovations currently being explored in almost a hundred startups world wide. But that's just what the future might bring and shows that nuclear power is not at the end of its story.

Currently existing large PWRs and BWRs are just fine! Do a Barakah, like UAE! It just works. You don't have to invent anything new to enter the nuclear age.
