The #MongolEmpire/#MongolHorde won the #BattleOfTheSitRiver against forces mainly from #VladimirSuzdal, a successor state of the disintegrating #KievanRus, on #ThisDayInHistory in 1238. This ended the last organized resistance and set up two centuries of Mongol rule in Russia.
