Just added a tool to help free up disk space used by blobs in Poncho Wonky.

#SecureScuttlebutt keeps moving forward regardless of naysayers.

If you're running Patchwork, you should consider migrating to my fork Poncho Wonky.

@soapdog What's the current recommended procedure for macos installation that will give me updates? I could install it on my arch desktop but I want it on a computer that's likely will be on my person when traveling.

@boreq heeey! you can grab an appImage file for Linux or a dmg for macOS:

https://github.com/soapdog/patchwork/releases

Poncho Wonky checks for updates when it launches, if there is one it will let you know.

@boreq just be aware that the macOS release is not an universal release. You need the one for your ISA.
@soapdog Oh yeah ok I somehow assumed this wouldn't give me updates
@boreq it will give you update notices, not there is no autoupdate feature.
@soapdog ye, ye, that's cool

@boreq wrote a bit about it:

This does not include the recent features I implemented since which are:

* New full text search backend.
* New blob management tool.

@soapdog I really loved patchwork and I only migrated to Manyverse because patchwork got discontinued. Now I want to move back. And I will. But there's no way I'm gonna leave my old feed behind. So my plan for Friday is to ignite Poncho Wonky and somehow move all my data from my Patchwork-moved-Manyverse instance back to good old PW-land ☺️
@gergely wait a bit to move the identity. I am gonna work on a way to restore it from the words
