Though, one of my colleagues has a work virtual machine running off a Linux distro.

I haven't been brave enough to try that yet.

Often the last thing I want after being on a laptop all week for work is to open another one.

And yes, I call myself a geek... just... seasonal depression and inattentive ADD executive dysfunction are real.

The German company I last worked for ran windoze in virtual machines on all devices for security reasons.

It works fine.

A full move to Linux was not possible at that time due to cost of moving a huge secure data bank.

One mistake could have crippled the company, almost all parts that went through the shop are tracked up until physically destroyed.
