My current hottest take is that the very best way to learn a new Magic format is to play an aggro deck.
Your losses teach you more than your wins, and aggro wins fast and loses slow, making it more educational.

@Fruan agreed. Teaches you the basic rules if the game without having to consider a lot of the more complex strategy that comes with control or tempo

@Fruan I agree if you understand aggro enough to analyze your losses; the deck is low, not dumb. And it can be hard to understand the reason you lost is because you bolted goyf not face.
