I don't follow fashion closely, so colour me surprised when I discovered that aside of Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter there's also Pre-Fall and Resort seasons. The first one I get, but Resort? WTF?

And my friends, I have discovered it's a Summer 2.0 shown in May available for sale in November to those wealthy folk who take an exotic sun holiday in the winter.

Sure, I'll let my stylist and buyer know to attend and pick something suitable to send to my Yacht πŸ§πŸ™„

We're doomed.

@jjcelery I like fashion but I've never heard of these. Pre-fall and Resort make me think of the pre-fall of civilization and a resort to violence.
@TazPoltorak @jjcelery Fast fashion has really done a number on us. Thanks, late stage capitalism.
@jjcelery does it help that it’s at least a 20 year old concept?
@Apiary it doesn't help, no, just shows I've been blissfully unaware and now my bliss has been disturbed by that knowledge πŸ₯²
@jjcelery it only really applies to ready to wear. And that category has gotten further and further out of reach for normal people. Most mall brands release clothes continuously now. People expect new fashions all the time.

@Apiary I saw very nice RTW designer trousers and went to check how much they were.

After the shock wore off I went and bought some fabric instead πŸ˜‚

If nothing else these items being out of reach fuel my anger/spite engine to sew more πŸ˜‰

@jjcelery @Apiary
And your #MeMade pants will be made according to your exact specifications!
I have a backlog of fabric waiting for me to get to it, and I'll love each individual item as it's completed. That's not a common feeling about items purchased in a store. And I can avoid the indignity of changing rooms, which pleases me greatly!

@EllenInEdmonton @Apiary oh the indignity of changing rooms! If only I could avoid it forever more!

I have to get some new bras because my size changed and I've been bracing myself for the indignity for about a month 😩

@jjcelery @EllenInEdmonton @Apiary I have recently come to realisation that my trouser size has changed, so I guess I can relate. Atm I am between "maybe I will loose weight " and "who am I kidding? " On the plus side (size?), I have made a toille from a pattern and it fits me pretty well, and I have amazing fabric.
