It is #unregulatedCapitalism that is the real problem.
Pure #laissezFaire, with no government oversight, together with the government actively exempting the rich from taxes at the expense of greater good of society as a whole compounds the problem, and it contributes to income #inequality.
Look at #Finland, #Sweden, and #Norway for a contrast with #US

I don't know if you've looked at the #UnitedStates, which is replete with examples of #unregulatedCapitalism.
When there is any regulation, the executive branch either shuts down or severely kneecaps the enforcing agency (e.g., #EPA, #FCC, #CDC, … the list goes on), the legislative passes laws that obscenely benefit the rich and disproportionately tax the poor, and the judiciary #SCOTUS interprets laws favoring the #billionaires.
